In fact, when Bob and CJ Bengtson started B&C Comfort back in 2000, HVAC installation and repair was their primary service.

Though B&C has become the fireplace repair specialists in Redmond, Monroe, Edmonds, and the whole Eastside of King County, we continue to provide heating, ventilation, and air conditioning service as well.

Eddie Hayman – the New Face of Home Comfort in the Puget Sound

B&C founder Bob Bengtson is retiring in 2027, and Eddie Hayman is taking over. Eddie is already working with Bob and CJ, meeting customers, and mastering the business. By the end of 2026, he’ll be handling all the repair and installation work himself.

Eddie grew up in Monroe and has known founders Bob and CJ since he was a teenager. They watched him grow into a talented, smart, enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated young man. Then, he ran off to college, earned a degree in biochemistry, and got married. He worked in his field for over ten years.

But as he considered the future and his growing family, he decided that owning his own business and having real human customers to connect with and serve was a better path. So, he reinvented himself and began studying HVAC and fireplace repair and installation.

Eddie is getting his certification for HVAC and fireplace repairs throughout 2026 & also being mentored by Bob. After being mentored by Bob, Eddie will be positioned to continue the B&C legacy – serving Greater Seattle area homeowners and small businesses.
